Actions Taken by Swagelok to Minimize Risk and Facilitate Business Continuity During the COVID-19 Pandemic

March 20, 2020

With the World Health Organization declaring Covid-19 a global pandemic we are closely monitoring the outbreak and possible impacts on our associates, our customers, our operations and our communities. We have, and will continue to, take actions that protect the health and well-being of our associates, and yours, which is our number one concern.

Given that, we are committed to remaining open to ensure we can support our customers as needs arise.  We are implementing our business continuity plans which include remote working capability for all of our associates in order to service our customers.

Internally, we are increasing the depth of our daily sanitizing of common areas, encouraging associates to wash hands regularly and stay home if they are sick or returning from an area identified as a coronavirus-related risk, as well as discouraging handshakes or unnecessary personal contact.

Out of an abundance of caution, below is a summary of the immediate actions Swagelok Denver |Western Slope| Casper is taking to meet the challenges posed by Covid-19.

Onsite Visits: We have encouraged our account managers to use virtual communication whenever possible. You may see a reduced presence onsite to limit potential exposure, but please know we will resume regular visits once the risk of transmission is lowered. In the meantime, your account managers and our inside team have a complete set of online tools that will enable you to reach us at any time, remotely.

If your company is restricting site access, please respond to let us know so we can determine how to best support your needs virtually.

Vendor Managed Inventories:  In an effort to reduce physical contact, and to protect both our customers and our associates we will not be servicing our Vendor Managed Inventories until further notice.  If this will cause undue hardship to your facility, please coordinate with your account manager and we will work together to find a safe solution.  To prepare, our team would be happy to work with you on increasing stock levels for risk mitigation to ensure you have the product you need on-hand.

Customer Pickup/Walk-Ins:  In addition to suspending our onsite servicing of Vendor Managed Inventories, we will temporarily be unable to accommodate walk-in business. You are welcome to call in an order for pick up, either ahead of time, or when you arrive in our parking lot.  We will have instructions on the door with a phone number to call to fill your pick-up orders. You can also call in and we can ship the items to you, for next day delivery in most cases. We thank you for your patience and understanding around this change in business practice.

How We Plan to Help: While we collectively meet this unprecedented challenge know that we have the tools and plans to support you as we work through this:

  • We have substantial inventory on hand to meet your immediate needs.

  • Our supply chain has minimal international exposure so we can get you mission critical components.

  • Our global supply chain is being constantly monitored and adjusted to ensure maximum reliability given the current situation.

  • Our team is equipped to support you remotely.

We will continue to monitor the situation and inform you of any changes as they arise. But be assured we will do everything in our power to limit your business interruptions.

On behalf of our entire leadership team, thank you for your patience and flexibility as we put measures in place to protect our team members and yours.  Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Patrick O'Connor
